Anime at the Alamo started with the premiere of Samurai X – Trust and Betrayal in Austin, Texas.

Anime at the Alamo becomes a regular event at the West Oaks Branch in Houston, Texas, but the event took a hiatus that same year.
2004
Anime at the Alamo returns at the West Oaks.
2005
July 19: ADV Films presents a Black Carpet Screening of Gilgamesh / Active Anime officially started covering the event every Tuesday evenings.
August 16: Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu Director’s Cut, which includes a sneak peak episode from the second volume of the series cast, premiered. Majority of cast attended.
2006
January 6: Mari Iijima surprised everyone with her appearance at the Macross premiere at the Alamo. Ms. Iijima was in town re-recorder the only anime role she portrayed in her career – Linn Minmei.
February 22: Anime at the Alamo took a road trip to Austin for the screening of Gatchaman. Director Charlie Campbell and cast participated in the event.
March: Rommel Salandanan of Active Anime takes over the hosting job from Jonathan Brands who left for FUNimation Entertainment.
May 30: Fan favorite Ghost Stories completed its screening at the Alamo Drafthous with an advance screening of the final volume in the series. ADR Director Steven Foster and cast were on hand at the event.
August 22: Director Charlie Campbell treated fans with a special trailer of Guyver: The Bioboosted Armor before the final screening of Gatchaman.
September 28: FUNimation Entertainment conquers the Alamo with Fullmetal Alchemist the Movie: The Conqueror of Shambala with a full capacity crowd at the largest theater at the Alamo that seats over 300 people.
October 17: ADV Films conducted a special premiere for the much anticipated anime series, Guyver: The Bioboosted Armor.
2007
May 16: Shinichi Watanabe / Nerima Daikon Brothers Premiere event were held with much fanfare. ADV Films announces their acquisition of the director’s latest series, The Wallflower and the first episode was screened with sub-titles for the fans.
July 31: ADV Films treated Fans expecting Innocent Venus Vol. 1 with a surprise screening of Warner Brother’s Appleseed: Ex Machina with a completed English dub.
September 6: Xenosaga: The Animation takes over the Alamo Drafthouse with majority of case in attendance.
December 25: 5 Centimeters Per Second premiered at the Drafthouse in 35mm film.
2008
January 22 – 29:
May 13: Surprise birthday party for ADR Director Christopher Ayres after the Magikano Vol. 2 screening
June 24: Final anime screening for ADV Films at Alamo Drafthouse in West Oaks with Moonlight Mile Vol. 2.
July 8: Anime at the Alamo returns with Full Metal Panic! The Second Raid. FUNimation Entertainment takes over the sponsorship of the weekly event.
